Last Saturday, Logan and I went with RUF on a hike of Billy Goat Trail at Great Falls in Virginia! It was a great outing to get new students connected with RUF and give everyone a chance to have fun and get to know each other better.

All the students had a blast and we did too. It was great to get to know some old faces to Maryland's RUF and see the new people connect as well!
Fun facts: Great Falls was a part of George Washington's plan to make the
Potomac River navigable as far as the Ohio River Valley. Canals were thought to be the new easy transportation. Great Falls were part of this system, and some of the locks still work today!
