RUF Mid-Atlantic Fall Conference

The other weekend, Logan and I got the privileged of accompanying some our MD  students on RUF's Mid-Atlantic Fall Conference. We came together with students from Pitt, Penn State, and Millersville in Ligonier, PA for a weekend of fellowship, worship, and learning about "The Normal Christian Life According to Jesus".

Conferences like this are key events for new students to really get to know each other and feel more like a part of our community. This year we had so many new students come along and we all had a blast!

Here are some of the things we did:

The weekend included a friendly game of wiffle ball,
learning a new card game called SET (which was a big hit), and an 80's Dance Party!
Here are some of our guys playing basketball, and the group exploring the quaint little
town just outside the retreat center.

Here are some of the views from around the camp. It was absolutely breathtaking!

The whole group!

One of my favorite parts of this trip was having two Chinese grad students with us. We met them at RUF's large group the week before the trip, and were thrilled to have them come along. It was great to see them connecting with the American students and experience a part of American culture that so many kids enjoy growing up: camp! We got to introduce them to their first smores, first dance party, and shared more about Christ!

Please continue to pray for each other these students as well as all the students we are meeting here at Maryland. Pray that each of them would come to know Jesus as more beautiful and believable, and that they would grow in their knowledge and love for God.

Grace & Peace,
Kristy
